In Flux; Examining Growth in an Enclave of Continual Change, Sculptural Wood Mural, Toronto, 2020
Set in the heart of Liberty Village, 80 Atlantic is Toronto’s first new timber-frame commercial building built in a generation. Integrating natural and high performance materials, it sets a new standard of development, offering high-design work environments and collaborative spaces.
The 60ft mural was designed and created with Justin Pape. We chose wood as the primary material to align with the timber frame of the building. Referencing a reconnection to the natural world and the area’s history, this sculptural mural includes elements of architecture from Liberty Village’s past and present as well as shapes pulled from flora and nano-structures found in the area.

🌿Marine Plywood (FSC® Certified), 🌿Water-based paint and stain (Canadian Green Building Council product), Anti Graffiti coating, Aluminium
