Naica, Funhouse Toronto, Installation, Toronto, 2019
Naica was made for The Funhouse in Toronto in partnership with Universal Music recording artist LIGHTS.
Inspired by her Skin & Earth graphic novel and the Giant Crystal Cave in Mexico, Naica is a dark intimate space inviting the viewer to escape for a moment of calming light and sound while being hugged by the danger of giant radiant crystals.
♻️ Naica was made with approx 65% recycled materials from previous projects and wood headed to landfill. When taken down, all lights, wires, plexiglass, screws and other reusable products were recollected for future projects.
